The pandemic has been on for almost a year and half now. The coronavirus has not just taken lives of people but has also snatched the livelihood of many people who survived through it. There are several cinema halls that have shut shop in Mumbai like, Capitol, Apsara, Strand, Opera House, Diana, Shalimar, Ganga Jamuna, Alishaan, Edward, and Ajanta. Now we hear that another prominent theatre will be going under redevelopment so that a mall can be made there.

Dreamland Cinema in Grant Road will be converted into a mall according to latest reports, though a small theatre will be remade there, but not in its full blown glory like it has been for years. The owner of the cinema Yunus Supariwala, confirmed the news to The Times of India and said, "It is going to redevelopment and a mall will be built here but there will be a small theatre which will continue screening of films".
