Moving on to my newest figures as of now, the first in my collection of these lil trading figures: The Nagito Komaeda Danganronpa x IDV Figure from NetEase!
At first I didn't actually plan on buying these guys, but someone referred me to a place that had a great price for them, so I went ahead and bought the box set! I kept half and sold the rest. I'm even considering buying a second box and selling most of them, since I realized I really like the Chiaki one. Stay tuned for more reviews!

THE BOX
The box for this figure is small of course. It's mostly black, and on the front it has portraits of Monokuma, Junko, Hajime, Kyoko, and Nagito, along with the logo. On the sides it has portraits of the possible characters as well as display recommendations.
Blind boxes are a weakness of mine... The designs are always so cute. Especially here! It does a great job of displaying the unique designs of both the IDV style and the Danganronpa characters themselves. I also like how the boxes still kinda stay closed once you tear off the tab at the top, as shown in the photos.

THE SETUP
Opening the package, there are six things. The five pieces of the figure that are sealed inside a plastic bag, and a small folded paper that shows the characters and setup recommendation. The pieces for the actual figure are: The base, the figure, the clear support stick, and a small clear piece to link the base with the others in the series.
The base and podium are one connected piece, so don't try to seperate them or you might break it. Something else to note is that the support stick SUCKS. There's no ball on the end or anything, it's just the end of the stick that fits into a small hole on the figure's back, so it falls out if you move it even more than a little. Also, it doesn't really fit well into the base either.

THE FACE
Nagito has his mouth open with his teeth showing, and his eyes are large and a green color. There's also small blushmarks. There's not much to say about the eyes since they're in the IDV button style.
I like it! The large eyes and blush is adorable, and any expression on Nagito is better than his swirly-eyed panic attack face that I've seen on a few other figures. He looks so smart here and like he's standing his ground, which I love!

THE HAIR
Nagito's hair is in his usual messy style, with one piece of fringe in front of his face and some to the sides. There's lots of pieces sticking out and it's a bit long. It's also mostly a white color with a very slight pink coloring airbrushed towards the bottom.
Gaaaah how cute! I love the big chunks sticking out everywhere, it reminds me of whipped cream or meringue, and stays true to the character. There is an issue here, but I'll talk about it in the "pose" section.

THE CLOTHES
Komaeda is wearing his usual outfit of a green jacket with red strings and a red "55" on the back, a white t-shirt with a red swirl on it, black jeans and brown shoes.
The color of his jacket is definitely different from the game, but I'm alright with that. The lighter green looks much better with the other lighter colors of the figure. The painting is done really well and the sculpting looks great, especially the simplification of the zipper on his jacket.

THE BASE
The base for this figure (and the rest in the series) is a four-sided shape. Most of it is brown, while the area on top is a dark red. There are small, shallow notches in the sides so that you can link it with others in the series using the small clear piece included with the support stick. On top of the base, there's a small brown podium piece. There's also a small hole for the support stick.
How cute! It's totally reminiscent of the game and I love how it links together with all the others. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of all the characters enough to keep them all, but I think they look fine separately or together. There's not much to say here, it all looks great!

THE POSE
Nagito is standing on both feet, with one arm bent with his hand on his hip and the other arm bent upwards in a pointing motion near his face.
I love this pose! Like I mentioned before, it makes him look so smart and really accentuates that part of his personality—The intelligent, mature, and confident parts. There is a design issue here though: The back of his hair prevents his head from fitting flush into his body. It hits his jacket hood, so you can see the neck peg under his head.
It's not visible from above, but it certainly is noticeable if it's eye level or above high-level. Another thing is more of an issue with the whole series—The little balls of fluff that stick out in various places. It kinda doesn't look great.

CONCLUSION
Overall, an adorable figure! I personally think most Nagito figures are ugly as hell, to be honest, which is why I haven't bought any until this one. This one is just so cute and definitely does him justice! If you're a fan of Nagito and are particular about figures, then this is a must buy.

Tip: This figure is commonly sold for WAY TOO MUCH. Do not buy this figure for more than $20! People like to take advantage of his popularity and sell this tiny, 2 inch tall figure for $35, the price of a full size prize figure. Please don't buy from these people. Just hold out for those honest sellers!
